Sports Tournaments

With great venues and numerous outstanding attractions, you'll find Lake County is the ideal location for your sports event.

Lake County has much to offer organizations and event rights holders. We understand that there is more to hosting an event than what takes place on the field. Between the beautiful lakefront of Lake Michigan and over 75 inland lakes, to the excitement of the thrilling rides of Six Flag's Great America, there is plenty to do after the competition is over. We also have over 7,000 hotel rooms to take care of competitors and their families.

The sports facilities in Lake County are exceptional. The Libertyville Soccer Complex is easily one of the finest collections of soccer fields in the country. Libertyville also has a multi-purpose indoor sports center. The Libertyville Sports Center features two indoor soccer fields, eight basketball/volleyball courts, a 30-foot climbing mountain, and a heated driving range. Waukegan opened the new Field House in 2006 with a 40,000 square foot main gymnasium accommodating up to six courts for basketball or volleyball. Vernon Hills offers an outdoor complex including softball, baseball, and soccer fields. In addition, Lake County has 37 public golf courses for every level of player, and plenty of perfect locations for outdoor competitions from boating and fishing to triathlons.
