Business as usual at Six Flags

The parent company which owns Six Flags Great America has filed for debt reorganization. The Gurnee Six Flags park will remain open and employees and visitors will not see a difference. The park opened three weeks early this year and launched the new interactive water ride Buccaneer Battle.

"No one should be confused about what a bankruptcy process means for Six Flags. Following a record year of performance in 2008, which completed the three-year turnaround of our system-wide park operation, this action to clean up the balance sheet paves the way for a full revival of the company. We will emerge from this process stronger and more competitive than ever," said Mark Shapiro, President and CEO of Six Flags.

Apple Holler is one of our favorite Colorful Spaces!

It’s rare to find everything for a group tour at one location – theatre, shopping, restaurant, adventure and top that off with a nice country atmosphere!  Apple Holler is that place especially in the fall.

Your group can experience 10,000 apple trees in 25 varieties – you can pick ‘em or pick up a bag.   Add a Queen of Bingo or Happy Holler Days theatre performance during your dinner.  Go shopping for delicious bakery items like cider donuts and apple pie plus Wisconsin food favorites for home or gifts.  Be a kid again with a hayride, watch the goats cross the bridge to the feeding area, pick that perfect pumpkin or get lost in the corn maze.

Whether it is Spring, Summer, Winter or Fall, Apple Holler has it all!
