Wine Festival at Chicago Botanic Garden

Become a wine expert in an afternoon!  Treat your group to this annual event filled with seminars and demonstrations about wine.  It’s an excellent way to meet Chicago area chefs and restaurateurs as well as visit special food shops.  Walk amongst the beauty of the Garden, sampling wine and just enjoying the beginning of summer!

Civil War Days at Lakewood Forest Preserve and Lake County Discovery Museum

What better way to learn more about our past than to experience it?  History comes to life at Illinois’ largest Civil War reenactment.  Watch skirmishes, explore the camps and shops and meet various military and civilian characters.  Then stop by the Lake County Discovery Museum for a bit of local history.  This is a great intergenerational event!

Irish Days in Long Grove Historic Village

Come celebrate Labor Day the Irish way!  Enjoy the 80-plus specialty shops (including two Irish shops), have lunch at one of many Long Grove restaurants, partake in Irish dancing and music, see a kilt contest and brush up on your Irish lingo!

Cuneo Gardens Art Festival at Cuneo Museum & Gardens

Take a tour of the breath-taking Cuneo Museum and then walk the gardens amongst beautiful artwork.  Artists will be present to discuss and offer their work for sale.  Live music will set the tone, and food and drink will be available for purchase.  Or stop by one of Lake County’s group-friendly restaurants for a chance to relax and talk about those fabulous art pieces.
