We now have 16 themed itineraries to help you plan your tours to Lake County!
Lincolnshire Marriott Resort has impressive new changes.
This isn’t the LMR you remember. The new M.I. Greatroom will take your breath away. The Social Zone is a multi-purpose gathering area for coffee in the morning, lunch with friends or cocktails at the end of the day. And if your groups like some downtime, there is plenty of Individual Zones to catch up with each other or check their emails to stay in touch with home. The guestrooms have been upgraded to the Marriott Revive® Bedding package for maximum comfort.
The resort is home to the Marriott Theatre, King’s Wharf Restaurant and Crane’s Landing Golf Course. Your active groups will love the 18 holes of par 70 PGA championship golf, six indoor tennis courts, fitness center, indoor & outdoor pools and thirty miles of biking & walking trails that connect to the Lake County Forest Preserves. If you are seeking recreation or relaxation, this “new territory” is the place to discover in 2010 and beyond.
Ravinia Festival is the Oldest Outdoor Music Festival in North America!
Each year we look forward to the marvelous entertainment options at Ravinia. From bring your own picnic basket (including alcohol) to ice sculptures with china & crystal, this music festival is for everyone. The oepn-air pavilion offers covered seating and the lawn is for a more laid back atmosphere. Classical, rock, pop, jazz, blues, dance and musicals are all available each year – up to 150 concerts! Click here for this year’s entertainment and ticket options and prices. Next year’s performances will be announced March 2011, so mark your calendar!
Gurnee Mills and Long Grove Historic Village continue to transform.
Gurnee Mills announces more to its retail mix. A’GACI, aerie, Stride Rite Outlet and Cinnabon will all be available to you by summer 2010. Why not schedule a back-to-school shopping trip? Even if you don’t have children to shop for, the bargains are fantastic during the pre-fall season at Gurnee Mills. See more about the new stores – Press Release. Consider planning a family or grandparents getaway with our Family Getaway Spaces to Gurnee Mills.
Long Grove Historic Village has some new residents. In a clever mix of fun, your shoppers can have a delightful time strolling the cobblestone paths while trying to locate decorative Ravens, each holding an antique pewter key in its beak. This makes for a playful scavenger hunt (honor system). The Ravens also add a nice touch to one of our newest itineraries – Spooky Spaces or Getaway Spaces at Long Grove Historic Village.
