Meander along the festive paths at Kringle’s Kingdom, stopping to peek inside unique display boxes, many animated with characters larger than life, nestled among 400 lighted evergreen trees. Enjoy a trip through the Shiloh Park Holiday Light Drive-Thru on the Holly Trolley, where numerous unique lighted and animated displays are placed along the quarter mile drive.

The beautiful grounds of the Cuneo Museum & Gardens shine during the Winter Wonderland Holiday Show. See millions of twinkling lights and 150 animated holiday scenes that the whole family will enjoy along this one and a half mile drive-thru light show. Stop inside the Cuneo Mansion, decorated with an 18 foot tree, poinsettias and holiday greenery filling the majestic halls.

The Winter Wonderland Express pulls into the Chicago Botanic Garden with one of the most exciting holiday adventures around town. Outside, 750,000 white lights sparkle and create a magical sight. Inside, see a 10,000 square foot wonderland of miniature trains winding over bridges, past waterfalls and through dozens of Chicago’s favorite landmarks. Include your dog in the festivities at the Reindog Parade, a special parade for pups dressed in holiday costumes and led by Santa.

Celebrate women’s most cherished fashion accessory, the handbag at Lake County Discovery Museum’s Pocketbook Anthropology – A Treasure of Handbags. This traveling exhibit features more than 75 examples dating from the 1880s to the present day, from various artists and designers from around the world. The exhibit also includes hands-on activities for kids.
