Experience the largest Civil War re-enactment in Illinois at the Lakewood Forest Preserve in Wauconda on July 7 and 8th.  Wander through civilian camps and civil war shops to see blacksmiths, quilters, tin smiths and other historical figures from that era.  View a soldier’s life with re-enactments of pay day, weapon checks, drill and mail call. Listen to songs and stories of Harriet Tubman or a compelling address by President and Mrs. Lincoln.

The 10th Annual Lincolnshire Fine Art Festival features approximately 160 artists on the grounds of Lincolnshire’s Village Green dining and shopping area. The free festival surrounds a serene fountain and beautiful sculpture garden, bordered by pleasant walking paths and benches.  There will also be food and entertainment.
