Here are out top weekend events:

1. 2nd Annual Lake County Greek Stompfest. Saturday, April 13 at 6:30 p.m., The Lake County Pan Hellenic Council presents the 2nd Annual Lake County Greek Stompfest at the Genesee Theatre in Downtown Waukegan. This event will feature some of the best step teams in the Midwest. Tickets are $15 in advance, $25 at the door. Genesee Theatre, 203 N. Genesee St., Waukegan. 2. DiCarlo’s Spring Wine, Food & Craft Beer Festival. Saturday, April 13 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., experience Lake County’s premier wine, food & craft beer festival at the DoubleTree Mundelein. There will be hundreds of fine wines and craft beers on display with local restaurants providing hors d'oeuvres. Tickets are $35. DoubleTree by Hilton Libertyville-Mundelein, 510 E. IL Route 83, Mundelein. 3. Meet Abraham Lincoln and Stephen A. Douglas at the Lincoln Exhibit. Sunday, April 14 at 2 p.m., actors George Buss and Timothy Connors will portray Abraham Lincoln and his political opponent, Stephen A. Douglas. The Grayslake Heritage Center is the final of only 11 stops in the nation to host this traveling exhibition about Abraham Lincoln. The exhibit is open Wednesdays - Sundays with no admission fee, but donations are welcome. Grayslake Heritage Center, 164 Hawley St., Grayslake. 4. Weekend Family Class ‘Insect Investigation’ at Chicago Botanic Garden. Sunday, April 14 from 9:30 p.m. to 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 2:30p.m., adults and children can explore how plants connect to science, art, history and culture. Find out about the ways bugs help the plants in the garden and kids can create a scientific tool to help study insects at home. Chicago Botanic Garden, 1000 Lake Cook Road, Glencoe. 5. Gospel Choir Concert at James Lumber Center for the Performing Arts. Sunday, April 14 at 4 p.m., in recognition of the 150th anniversary of President Abraham Lincoln’s signing the Emancipation Proclamation, the choir will sing Moses Hogan’s Lift Every Voice for Freedom, along with several traditional spirituals, the 19th century genre that preceded gospel music, including Keep Your Lamps by Andre Thomas. Tickets are $4. James Lumber Center for the Performing Arts, 19351 Washington St., Grayslake.
