Casting Call! Want to be in our Music Video?

Calling all fun loving, costume or bright color wearing people who want to be a part of something exciting and memorable!  So... calling EVERYONE!

Visit Lake County is creating a music video, and we want you to be in it!  On Saturday, May 17, we're filming a scene in Downtown Waukegan, at 11 a.m. that you can be a part of!  This video will include a bunch of scenes from around Lake County and show how much fun it is to spend time here.  We'll be using the song, 'Best Day of My Life' by American Authors, that has been rerecorded by local musician Justin Yates.

What Can You Expect? This shot will feature our musician, Justin, walking down Clayton Street in Downtown Waukegan, next to the Genesee Theatre with people (that's YOU!) around him, dancing, having a good time and singing along.

How Do You Get Involved? We are looking for extras to report to Urban Edge art space at the corner of Clayton and County Streets at 11 a.m., with filming to start around 12 p.m. When you arrive at Urban Edge you will be asked to sign a photo release form and provide us with your email so we can send you the video link when it is complete. We are encouraging people to come dressed up in costumes and / or bring artwork that says, 'Best Day of My Life'. If you don't want to dress, you can still participate, just bring your energy and be ready to have some fun!

The music video will be promoted through Social Media and posted on the Visit Lake County YouTube channel, youtube.com/visitlakecounty.

After months of planning out all of the scenes and locations....

It was finally time to start filming!  We've made our way around the whole county, and we've had fun filming at every location.  Although you'll have to watch the final video to see all of the places we stopped by, here's a sneak peek at the video that you can be a part of!

And then the fun continued as we met with some cool Cats at the Marriott Lincolnshire Theatre..

I mean... who wouldn't want to spend a day with us cool people?
